Christian Reflection and Prayer

There were 3 good arguments that Jesus was Black: 
1. He called everyone brother
2. He liked Gospel
3. He didn't get a fair trial

But then there were 3 equally good arguments
that Jesus was Jewish:
1. He went into His Father's business
2. He lived at home until he was 33
3. He was sure his Mother was a virgin and
his Mother was sure He was God

But then there were 3 equally good arguments
that Jesus was Italian:
1. He talked with His hands
2. He had wine with His meals
3. He used olive oil

But then there were 3 equally good arguments
that Jesus was a Californian:
1. He never cut His hair
2. He walked around barefoot all the time
3. He started a new religion

But then there were 3 equally good arguments
that Jesus was an American Indian:
1. He was at peace with nature
2. He ate a lot of fish
3. He talked about the Great Spirit

But then there were 3 equally good arguments
that Jesus was Irish:
1. He never got married..
2. He was always telling stories.
3. He loved green pastures.

But the most compelling evidence of all 
3 proofs that Jesus was a woman:
1. He fed a crowd at a moment's notice
when there was virtually no food
2. He kept trying to get a message across
to a bunch of men who just didn't get it
3. And even when He was dead, He had
to get up because there was still work to do

CAN I GET AN AMEN!!

One day God was looking down at earth
and saw all of the rascally behavior that
was going on. So He called one of His
angels and sent the angel to earth for a time.
When she returned, she told God, 'Yes,
it is bad on earth; 95% are misbehaving
and only 5% are not.
God thought for a moment and said,
'Maybe I had better send down a second
angel to get another opinion.'
So God called another angel and sent her
to earth for a time. When the angel returned
she went to God and said, 'Yes, it's true.
The earth is in decline; 95% are misbehaving,
but 5% are being good.'
God was not pleased. So He decided to
e-mail the 5% who were good, because he
wanted to encourage them, and give them
a little something to help them keep going...

Okay, I was just wondering; because I didn't get one either!

Scripture:

"If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile;
you are still in your sins.…If only for this life we
have hope in Christ, we are to be pitied more
than all men" (1 Corinthians 15:17)

"Because I live, you also will live" (John 14:19)

Reflection:

Because Jesus Christ lives, because of His
resurrection, I will also live, forever!
Without Jesus Christ, my life is merely
prolonged death.  With Jesus Christ I have
eternal life which most definitely changes my life
on earth.
Because Christ lives, my life has changed.
I'm no longer overly aggressive, I'm no longer
bad tempered, I'm at peace with myself and
others.  Because He lives, I have learned how
to love others.  Because He lives, I can live
with my imperfections and I am not bound to
them. 
Not only do I have eternity to look forward to,
but i have the spirit, the strength, and the
power to have a loving and right relationship
with God and with others, right now in my
daily life. 
Jesus Christ is my hope for the future and
my trust for each day.
